The time we went to Disney world for 1887.00 - Family of 3

Updated: Mar 21, 2023

Looking for a way to stay at Disney World and not break the bank? We were able to stay Sunday thru Thursday for 1887.00 With 2 days in the parks and 1 day at a water park.

I know what you are thinking: this was in the middle of the slow season right? No: this was at the end of July right before school went back in. I was able to find the deal on Saturday while at the movie theater. We booked it at 3 PM Saturday afternoon and left Sunday morning. Still the busy season! You can have experience the magic of Disney offer without breaking the bank.

Here's a breakdown of what you can expect for a trip for three people, with a budget of $1887.

  1. Accommodation: For a four-night stay, there are plenty of affordable options: A value resort such as Disney's All-Star Movies. This is our favorite value hotel, as it has just been redone. All rooms are just made to sleep in.

  2. Park tickets: For two days in the parks and then add, a water park ticket is the way to go. We choose to visit Magic Kingdom twice and the water park. If we did it again we would spend one day at Magic Kingdom and another day at Hollywood.

  3. Water park: A day at a water park is a must during a Florida summer! There are plenty of thrill rides that are so enjoyable and you can get to Disney springs as the park closes at 7.

Food: With plenty of quick-service options available in the parks and resorts, it's easy to eat well without breaking the bank. We at breakfast in the room and did quick service in the parks. We spent a total of 50.00 a day for lunch and 10.00 per day for a snacks.

Transportation: If you're flying into Orlando, transportation to and from the airport can be arranged through Disney's Magical Express for free. Getting around the parks and resorts is also a breeze thanks to complimentary transportation such as the buses.

Spending Sunday thru Thursday is a budget friendly option. It also misses a lot of the weekend crowd. The magic is still the same. We were so excited to get there that we didn’t even unpack. As soon as we got there we ran to the bus stop and went to Disney springs to eat at our favorite place “the boathouse”.

We were eating at a table at 9:30 at night. We walked right in and got a table and ordered. It was the best late night meal we ever ate and set the trip off on the right magical note. We got back to the rooms late as there were only a few buses running but still made it.

Overall, a Monday through Thursday trip to Walt Disney World Resort was one of the more magical trips we took. It can be a magical experience without breaking the bank. With a budget of $1887, you can enjoy four nights of accommodation, two days in the parks, a day at a water park, meals, transportation, and some extra spending money.
